Automation and Local Programming

On Wave 102, all of our programming is produced locally and presented from our studios at Buchanan Street, Dundee. There are no arrangements for networked or syndicated programming. We do occasional outside broadcasts from around our transmission area.

It is necessary at certain times to automate our programmes. This is where the presenter has pre-recorded their links but may not necessarily be in the studio at the time the programme is broadcast. Automated programming will normally happen outwith peak, daytime hours.

The amount of locally produced programming per day on Wave 102
Monday to Friday: 24 hours
Saturday: 24 hours
Sunday: 24 hours

What’s On Guide

Wave 102 carry a daily “What’s on Guide” which promotes local events taking place, whether it be music/comedy gigs, art shows or charity fundraisers. Listeners can submit their own events to our What’s On guide by clicking here.

Help For Kids

Wave 102 also support our very own listener charity, Help For Kids, which helps underprivileged children in the local area. More information on Help For Kids can be found by clicking here.
